BeWell Digital Privacy Policy
Introduction
BeWell in School (“BWS,” "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in connection with your use of digital.bewellglobal.com (the “Website”), BeWell Digital mobile phone and TV applications (the “Apps”), or other online services offered by BeWell in School or associated with BeWell Digital (the Website, the Apps, and such other products, services, and features are collectively referred to herein as the “Product” or “Products”, which may be updated from time-to-time at the sole discretion of BeWell in School). This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is intended to inform you how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in relation to our Products.
Data we collect
We may collect and process the following data about you:
Personal Information: We only collect personal information you provide us during your registration process. This may include your Full Name, Address, Email Address, Phone, Country, State, Zip Code, and Billing information, including credit card data, Paypal & Google Checkout information. We will keep your data for up to 30 days after your account is deleted. After the 30 days all your data is fully removed from our system.
Usage Information: Whenever you use our Products, we collect usage information, such as the videos you view, how often you log-in
Transactional Information: When you make a purchase or return, we collect information about the transaction, such as subscription option, subscription or free trial expiration date, and time and date of the transaction. BeWell in School does not collect or process credit or debit card (“Payment Card”) data. Apple and Google collect Payment Card data with respect to in-app purchases made through the Apps, and our payment processor collects Payment Card data with respect to purchases made through the Websites. Such payment processors generally provide us with some limited data related to you, such as a unique, anonymous token that enables you to make additional purchases using the data they’ve stored, and your card’s type, expiration date, billing address, and the last four digits of your card number.
Device Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Product, including the hardware model, operating system and version, device identifiers set by your device operating system, and mobile network information (like your connection type, carrier and region).
Log Information: We collect standard log files when you use our Product, which include cookies, IP Addresses, browser type, device type, location, Internet service provider (ISP), entry and exit pages, operating systems, time/date stamps, and other related data. BWS uses this information only to improve the quality of our Products. If you choose to decline cookies via your browser, you will have some limitations in using our Product.
For Teachers and Students using the Product in connection with a School Partner Account, we collect additional data such as your school name, school email address, grade level, and type of School Partner Account, as outlined (elsewhere?).
For Individuals using the Product as part of a BeWell Digital Family Plan, we may collect additional information, such as home address in order to verify family member status. If the primary account holder of a BeWell Digital Family Plan chooses to invite additional family members, we will ask for name and email address. We will use this data to invite the family member to join the Product account. We store this data for the sole purpose of sending invitations and confirming family member status.
How we use your information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
To provide you with access to the Products and their content.
To personalize and improve your experience with the Product.
To answer your questions, concerns, or requests for information
To ensure that content provided by the Products is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device.
To communicate with you about Product updates and changes, new content, and promotions.
To understand your broad, non-specific geographic location to help us identify Product users by general geographic market (zip code, state, county, etc.)
To manage your payments and orders.
To analyze and improve the Product’s performance and functionality.
How we share your information
We may share your information with third parties under the following circumstances:
With service providers who assist us in operating BWD.
With authorized personnel at BeWell’s Partner Schools for administrative purposes
In response to legal requests, court orders, or to comply with legal obligations
In connection with a business transfer or merger, where your information may be part of the assets transferred.
Newsletter or other electronic communication
When you register to use our Product, your email will automatically be listed in the Product mailing list. You will receive welcome information, account information, and other marketing information related to the Products you viewed and purchased. You may also receive emails notifying you of Product updates and changes, new content, and other related promotional information. You may choose to opt out of receiving Product emails, but if you choose to do so, you will not receive technical support requests, account updates and notifications, product updates, security updates or updates to the Product Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Your choices
BWS provides you with the opportunity to review, remove, and modify any personal information previously provided. You can manage your personal information and communication preferences through your account settings by logging into your Product account, clicking your username, and selecting “settings.” You also can choose not to provide certain information, but this may limit your access to certain Product features.
Confidentiality and security
The security of your personal data is important to us. We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information, both during transmission and once it is received. BWS maintains technical, administrative and physical safeguards to help protect the security of your personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, misuse or disclosure. We employ and protect all data with SSL encryption and other security measures to ensure you that your data is protected and safe. Your personal information is accessible to only a limited number of personnel who need access to the information to perform their duties. Please be advised that while we take extra measures to protect your data and the integrity of your information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Children’s Privacy and use by minors
You must be 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province, territory or country, to sign up as a registered user of the Product. Individuals under the age of 18, or the applicable age of majority, may view the audiovisual content displayed in the Product only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, under such person's account, and otherwise subject to these Terms. This provision shall not be applicable to student registrations made through a School Partner Account.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our data practices. If you are a registered Product user, we will attempt to inform you of any material changes by in-Product message or by email sent to the e-mail address specified in your account. Otherwise, we encourage you to periodically review this page for the most updated privacy policy posted here.
